Quick update and it’s GOOD NEWS.
Paul’s bone scan and pelvic CT scan show no sign of metastasis which means that the cancer is still contained within his prostate and seminal vesicle.
Next steps are a surgical consult and another appointment with the radiologist/oncologist to review treatment options. I’m still hopeful that he will have all of the information that he meeds to make a treatment decision by the end of February.

Thank you so much for posting this blog! I too am a African-American male and my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer in his 70’s. I recently had a PSA of 5.19 followed by another one two weeks later of 6.3.😖 Understandably I was concerned. Ironically, I had watched that documentary, “Cancer can be killed” two months earlier. So when I received the high PSA test results I immediately thought of Germany and the transurethral hyperthermia. My urologist wants to do a biopsy. I’m not feeling it! If I do agree, I’m trying to have a MRI ultrasound fusion biopsy to see if I have any active tumors. If I do, I’m thinking of transurethral hyperthermia therapy in Germany. Focal therapy if hyperthermia doesn’t work and last the cyber knife. Given your experience in this journey you have been on, any words of wisdom or insight would be greatly appreciated! Paul, I wish you victory with you battle against prostate cancer!
